We need to get closer to who we are. That’s the only way forward. Thank you for that reminder. You are absolutely right, the creator economy profits from us feeling insecure and keeps us locked in this “chasing wins”-mindset.

I'm glad I came into Substack with the mindset of my audience being just as surprised as I am, when it comes to what I write. This is the reason my Substack is titled Labyrinth of Mysteries.

Another excellent article, Philipp. It’s great to see more people pushing back against the idea that the audience is just a scalable commodity.

Somewhere along the way we lost our humanity in service to that damn algorithm but I do see more people claiming it back.

Amen to that! There is one thing the algorithm economy normally does, to keep you hooked - the last straw of hope to keep you going: they sell you ads!

I wonder when this will happen here on Substack....

You are very welcome. I get that! When you feel that doubt just reread this article :) Going against the zeitgeist of conventional wisdom in a culture that prioritizes fast growth and immediate results at the expense of well being is not easy.
